Brand store was intended to allow you change certain details.
Consumers, you should be able to grant and revoke access on a live store.
Output templates, you should be able to add what output templates one can leverage on a live store.
To change the design and data configuration is something we, intentionally do not enable due to the implications it will have on your store.
Therefore we allow you to either deactivate the store, make your change and republish or to copy an existing store, change that configuration and add your users to that one and remove the old one afterwards.
