Reduction of clicks and time |
How should it work? |
When adding in a new item link in "Includes", I was able to setup the link name and add an index. As I wanted them ordered by alphabetical order the index number put it in the middle of the list of "Includes" The index number had not updated for any of the other "Includes" links and therefore it shared the same index number as another. I updated the value of the other it shared it with but then as none of the other updated again I had to update the index of around 15 others. Every time when clicking save it would take me back to the Item page rather than back to the Includes table I was working with. When updating the index number of CVLs and Fields, the index numbers will all update if the new one shares the same value as another. It would be useful to have it work the same here as it would reduce the time and clicks from however many come after the new one down to one input. I haven't checked but this might be a similar issue on "Categories" |
Why is it needed? |
This is a feature in the Fields table and the CVL tables, so it would make sense to have here as well. Also it makes the user not want to add more "Includes" links because of all the extra work needed to go into tidying the table. |
Additional feedback, background or context:
This also occurs when adding a new "Category". The Index does not automatically update meaning 2 Categories can have the same index number
