Add custom work area top nodes (besides personal and shared)

It would be great to have the ability to create custom "top nodes" besides the personal and shared work area top nodes (see the image below).

I has several possible usages that makes it easier to structure using custom top nodes:

• Navigation in different vertices (ex: a top node representing a structure)

• Entity type specific work areas

• Department, workflow or role specific queries

• "Hiding" channel and other system queries

To maintain control of the available top nodes I would prefer if the management of the top nodes could be handled in the Control Center.

This would be great in combination with other feature request to control access and visibility of certain work area top nodes.

Note: It's today actually possible to create custom top nodes using the Remoting API, the image above is from a customer of ours. But since this is an unintended feature use it at your own risk since it may disappear at any time in the future. Inriver did in a previous release remove this but later reversed the decision, but there's no guarantee that will be the case in the future, hence this feature request to make it a permanent feature.
