Product Data Governance improvements

Who would benefit?

Any client using inriver PDG functionality

What impact would it make?

It greatly increases the applicability and user-friendliness of PDG

How should it work?

Extend PDG functionality:

• Role based block-chain fixation (Preserve QR-code fixation to given role, see image attached)

• Use of third party QR-code e.g. GS1 QR-code

• User of third party block-chain (public block-chain)

• Query functionality for PDG e.g.

  • What's the latest version stored in block-chain?

  • Does Item data differ from block-chain data (see image attached)?

  • Which resources are linked to block-chain records?

• Better support for storing data per product group

• Assets are not stored in block-chain (e.g. in base64 format) . Just an URL to inriver asset storage. This can cause image lost on DPP. Prevent block-chain resources from being deleted.

• Mark resources as being linked to block-chain so users understand why these resources cannot be deleted.

• Support for product variants by using a shared QR-code (no need for separate QR-codes per color)

Why is it needed?

Because our customer is currently experiencing many problems with the current version
