Support for customer's observability platform - Datadog

Who would benefit?

Enterprise Customer who have their own IT eco systems

What impact would it make?

  1. inriver adoption in to customer's eco systems.

  2. Efficiency and faster turn around for addressing issues and failures

How should it work?

inriver support for Datadog agents on PIM and possibly configuration for filtering type of logs to send to Observability platform.

Why is it needed?

  • inriver doesn't have any alerts out of issues/failures

  • inriver logs are very difficult to work with when we need to review an issue. We cannot look for something unless we know when it happened.


Additional feedback, background or context:

  • There are limitations on what's being logged, especially issues/exceptions out of inriver's native code (several instances 'unexpected' error that did not help us).

  • CC interface for logs isn't intuitive and needs facelift for today's industry standards.

    I support this initiative, and I'd like to see other integration to Grafana or LogScale(Humio). Having the capability to constantly capture the logs and alert on failure it is critical for our business.
