Who would benefit? |
Anyone using recalculate/completeness |
What impact would it make? |
Quality of life but nothing major |
How should it work? |
A checkbox or a popup that shows up when you click on recalculate when there is already one running, allowing you to cancel the previous one (that most likely got stuck) and start a new one without going through support for help. |
Why is it needed? |
To avoid having to bother support for help |
Additional feedback, background or context:
I just had a ticket where support had to cancel a long-running recalculate that had simply gotten stuck, we did some serious testing with a new completeness setup and it made all of the completeness results null - meaning in InRiver Enrich you could only see the percentage but none of the groups/rules tied to the completeness...
Running a new recalculate to shake things up didn't help, the previous job was stuck so I had to involve support - but we didn't know that was the issue either.
But clicking on recalculate did nothing, there was no error message or warning - there were no logs that it had started either. Just dead silent.
So either recalculate should warn that there is a job already running and ask if you'd like to force restart or it should always force restart.
