Add a locale selector / (multi-select) dropdown at the top section. This would then only show you locale-string fields in the chosen locale(s). We have many localestring fields in 30+ locales so although you can filter by name, still a lot of searching & scrolling |

We are adding the ability to select and categorize fields in the column section based on language, category and a combination of those two things. Making it easier to select fields for your workspace. It will be possible to add all fields from a specific category or language at once with one click, making it possible to select all and later deselect a sub-set.
The ability to have permission on languages is a feature that will go across the entire platform, so my answer is not taking that into account.
I agree - but this also relates to other IDEAS where it should be possible to have preferred languages - so only see the preferred languages in the Locale string drop down...
... and it should default to the user's data locale setting
