Enable View & Sort by Parent Entity in Table View

How: Add support for displaying the Parent Entity ID (and optionally Parent Entity Name) as a column in table views and allow users to sort ascending/descending on the Parent Entity value. Also allow filtering on column.

Why: Users working with parent-child data structures need a simple way to group and organize related entities directly within table views. While parent relationships exist in the data model, the inability to sort by Parent Entity makes it difficult to review, validate, and manage related records efficiently when working with a group of entities from a query, workflow, etc.

For Who: Any user managing product, item or other hierarchical entity relationships

Impact:

• Improves visibility of parent-child relationships.

• Enables faster data validation and auditing.

• Reduces dependency on exports to Excel for sorting and grouping.

• Increases productivity when managing a catalogs with thousands of related entities.

• Enhances day-to-day usability of table views.

Additional context: A common use case is reviewing Item entities grouped by their parent Product. Today, users must export data or apply workarounds to organize records by parent. Allowing sorting on Parent Entity would provide immediate grouping within the UI and streamline maintenance, troubleshooting, and bulk review activities.
