Index on CVL value when adding new value

Is it possble to change that if/ when you manually add a additional CVL value to an existing CVL then index on original CLV values should not be changed?

The case: if/ when you add a additional CVL value to an existing CVL and index is set to 0 (null) on all CVL values. However, after adding (saving) to new CVL value, all the original CVL values get index 1 and the new 0.

I am aware of the option to export and then import but for only one CVL I perfer to just add it via 'Add CVL Value'.
