What impact would it make?

Allow one resource to be held against the product/item but it holds all different language versions of the file

How should it work?

As a user I want to be able to store media in the PIM under one resource but for all languages, so that I can have a 1-1 relationship between item/product and resource whilst incorporating all languages.

Currently if I was to use media in the PIM that is a pdf with multiple languages, I would need to upload the multiple files to create multiple resources and then link those to the entities.

Would be ideal if there was one link and on resource to reduce the amount of entities and links needed. As links between entities are managed manually this causes risk.

File Id could be a locale field and therefore there could be a value against ResouceFileId_en-GB that is different for ResouceFileId_fr-FR and different to ResouceFileId_de-DE and so on.

Same with file name.

I don't think it should be that different file types should be localised together (e.g pdf for en but jpg for fr)

Why is it needed?

Allows for easier management of media for users that have localised resources
