Use Expression Engine for datetime fields

Who would benefit?

One of our customers are exploring the opportunity to make their work in Inriver more efficient using Expression Engine. One of the things the would like to do is set the value in a datetime field, but this can not be done at the moment.

What impact would it make?

Increasing the value of using Expression Engine

How should it work?

In this case the customer would like a datetime field to be automatically updated with today's date 01:00 when the status in a CVL-field is changed for example from Archived to Published.

This can of course be done through code, but the customer would rather use Expression Engine.

Why is it needed?

To make the work more efficient for the customer.
