Who would benefit? |
Customers that already know which products/items they need to review |
What impact would it make? |
It would save a lot of time having to manually manipulate an exported data file so that it matches the pre-filled template our customer provided. |
How should it work? |
If we quick search apple, orange, banana, the order of the results would be apple, orange, banana versus returning entities in a random order. |
Why is it needed? |
For a lot of our projects, we already know which set of items/products we are searching for, so we utilize Quick Search a lot more than the Query Editor. Many of our customers provide us pre-filled templates to complete that have locked cells for pre-filled values - including the item numbers. We copy the item numbers from these sheets and Quick Search them in InRiver to obtain our data for those items. The struggle is that the search results appear in random order, so when we either export the search results or create a work area to Syndicate, all of the items are going to be in a different order than the locked spreadsheet our customer provided us. This causes us to have to go through the exported work sheet and manually adjust the rows so that they match our customer's template. Very time consuming - especially if the customer is having us review a lot of items, which is usually the case. |
